Ethical Behaviors Among Primary School Administrators

Abstract

This study evaluated the ethical occupational behaviors of school administrators from the views of teachers. Population of the study was teachers working in primary schools in Üsküdar/Istanbul. Sampling group consisted of 189 teachers selected via stratified cluster method. Data were collected by the Scale of Ethical Behaviors developed by Ergüç (2002). Analysis of the data included Independent Group t Test, Mann Whitney-U and Kruskal Wallis-H. Findings show that according to the teachers who participated in the study, school principles demonstrate more ethical behaviors in terms of human rights but they lack ethics in terms of affection.
